About Election Result Online
A clear, mobile-first reference for Indian election results — built for journalists, researchers, and curious voters.
What we do
Election Result Online publishes structured election results for India — Lok Sabha (Parliament), Vidhan Sabha (state assemblies), bye-elections, party tallies, constituency pages, and maps. Data is compiled from official Election Commission of India records and related state election commission publications.
We are an independent project. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Election Commission of India.
What you can explore
- Lok Sabha — general election results by year, state, party, and parliamentary constituency.
- Vidhan Sabha — state assembly elections with seat-wise candidate breakdowns.
- Bye-elections — mid-term vacancies, schedules, and declared results.
- Parties — registered parties and their performance across elections.
- Constituency pages — winners, margins, turnout, and historical context where available.
How we work
Results are imported from published ECI result sheets, index cards, and gazette notifications, then normalised for consistent constituency codes across delimitation eras and state reorganisations. When official counting is live, pages may be updated as fresher data becomes available.
Historical records can involve spelling variants, party renames, and boundary changes. We aim for accuracy but encourage users to verify critical figures against primary ECI sources — see our Disclaimer for details.
